**U.S. Approves Potential Arms Sales Worth $16.5 Billion**

**WASHINGTON** — The U.S. State Department has approved potential arms sales totaling approximately **$16.5 billion** to three Middle East partners.

The notifications include:

– **United Arab Emirates**: Over **$8.4 billion** for F-16 munitions, aircraft upgrades, missiles, drones, and radar systems.
– **Kuwait**: Approximately **$8 billion** for Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) radars.
– **Jordan**: **$70.5 million** for aircraft and munitions support.

The proposed sales are intended to strengthen the air and missile defense capabilities of these longstanding U.S. partners in the region.

All sales remain subject to final contract negotiations and congressional review.
